Kathy Griffin files for divorce from husband Randy Bick before 4th wedding anniversary
Kathy Griffin will be newly single in 2024.
The comedian, 63, has filed for divorce from her husband, Randy Bick, just days before the two would have celebrated their fourth anniversary.
She listed the date of separation as Dec. 22, 2023, in court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, per Page Six. She cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split.
“Well s–t. This sucks,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter, after the news broke.
Griffin is requesting that the court enforce their prenup, which the couple had signed on Dec. 23, 2019. The pair tied the knot on New Year’s Day 2020.
“Happy New Year! And, surprise! We’re getting married! Tonight! After midnight!” the two said in unison in a clip at the time.
Added Bick, “She said yes!”
Bick then kissed Griffin, and she quipped: “Oh my God, you pervert, I’m a virgin!”
The pair began dating in 2011, but Griffin thought it would only be a one-night stand at the time.
“I thought he was just a man-whore, if you will,” she told People in 2016.
“He’s like a regular guy, you know, he’s like a real guy,” she added. “He’s not like a Hollywood guy.”
Griffin and Bick briefly split in November 2018 before reuniting in April 2019.
Griffin also called Bick, who is 18 years her junior, a “very sweet and very mellow” person.
The exes did not share any children.
Griffin was previously married to Matt Moline, from 2001 to 2006. He appeared on her reality show, “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List,” which ran for six seasons on Bravo.
