Kelly Ripa fakes own death to avoid Mark Consuelos sex
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are talking about their sex life — again. This time, Ripa jokingly compared herself to a female frog during “Live with Kelly and Mark” on Friday.
When Ripa noted that she found out that female frogs “fake their own deaths to avoid unwanted attention” from males, she quipped: “Let me just say they learned that from us.”
Consuelos teased that he even has a dedicated spot on his bedside table for a “little mirror” to prove she’s still breathing when they’re getting intimate.
“[When Kelly is] faking her own death, I put it over her face to see if she’s breathing. If it fogs up, it’s gonna be a nice Friday night!” he exclaimed.
“That’s why I’ve learned to hold my breath for 7 to 18 minutes,” Ripa interjected. “He thinks I’m dead constantly.”
The pair continued to read the study, which noted that “amphibians are taking ghosting to the next level in their world by playing dead to avoid unwanted male interaction.”
“The frog will stretch out her arms and legs and act as if she were dead,” Ripa added. “I gotta try that one. My death pose is too animated.”
Ripa and Consuelos — who tied the knot in 1996 and share three kids, Michael (born 1997), Lola (born 2001), and Joaquin (born 2003) — often divulge their NSFW sex confessions.
For instance, they’ve opened up about hooking up on the set of “All My Children,” a public restroom and even Andy Cohen’s Fire Island beach house.
Their daughter once walked in on them having sex, and they usually “fake” passionate kiss to gross out their children.
“We make them think we’re Frenching, because it disgusts them,” Ripa said during a May episode, adding that while they don’t ever “[actually] French” in front of their children, it’s fun to tease them.
