Kelly Rowland ‘mad’ she texted Nelly via Microsoft Excel in ‘Dilemma’ music video

It was quite a dilemma.

Kelly Rowland is finally dishing on the “flack” she’s received after trying to send Nelly a text message via Microsoft Excel in the 2002 music video for “Dilemma.”

“Do you know how much flack I get from that?” Rowland, 43, said during an appearance on Mystical Kitchen’s “Last Meal” series after being introduced as “the only person in history to successfully send a text message via Microsoft Excel” by the show’s host Josh Scherer.

“I’m so used to it now,” the former Destiny’s Child singer added.

The viral scene shows Rowland attempting to text Nelly, “Where you at? Holla when you get this,” on the Microsoft spreadsheet editor — and then getting annoyed when he doesn’t respond.

“Did anybody address that at the time?” Scherer, 31, asked Rowland.

“No,” she replied. “And I’m actually mad at them that they didn’t because they made me look nuts.”

“Well, you seemed so mad that he wasn’t returning the text,” quipped Scherer, referring to the way Rowland responded in the music video.

“What did you expect?” the “Mea Culpa” star joked. “Because it’s just a draft, my dear.”

In honor of the song’s 20th anniversary in 2022, TikTokers did a deep dive into Excel’s more advanced features and found that it was actually possible to send messages using the software.

Rowland has been teased about the texting snafu for years.

In 2019, the “Hitman” singer talked about the scene with “The Real” co-host Jeannie Mai.

“I don’t know what that is. I don’t know what Microsoft Excel is,” an annoyed Rowland said at the time. “I don’t have a clue, so when I saw all these memes, I was like, ‘I don’t care.’

“What is it? I don’t know,” she went on, adding that the director thought it was a “brilliant idea” at the time.

Nelly, 49, addressed the comical moment in 2016. “That was the thing at the time,” he said to the Project, per the Independent. “That was the new technology at the time. It looks a little dated now, I can see that.”
