Kevin Spacey ‘ready for Hollywood comeback’ after being acquitted of sex charges

Kevin Spacey is reportedly ready for a big Hollywood comeback after being acquitted of sex assault charges in London earlier this summer.

The two-time Oscar winner’s friend, author Geoffrey Mark, says the exiled A-lister is hoping to return to Tinseltown — despite reports he’s still not welcome by the industry’s in-crowd.

Mark told Daily Mail on Saturday that Spacey, 64, wants to “rebuild” his career and believes he will do something “new and creative” in the imminent future.

“He’s going to have to rebuild, and in doing so, my opinion is he’s going to go in a direction we hadn’t considered before,” the author explained.

“We’re going to see a whole new creative side of him come out. Most folks are going to say, ‘Wow, I never knew.’”

Mark doesn’t believe that Hollywood heavyweights are done with Spacey, saying that if the acclaimed actor can come up with an idea for studios to make money then “they’re going to forgive him.”

“There’s a lot more coming, good stuff coming, and I’m thrilled to see it,” the author optimistically added.

Spacey is not currently attached to any upcoming projects with big-name producers or directors after being shunned in the wake of sex assault charges.

“Kevin Spacey is one of the most talented human beings on the planet,” Mark explained.

Spacey was accused of committing sex offenses against four men between 2004 and 2013, while he was serving as artistic director at London’s historic Old Vic theater.

The “American Beauty” star was charged with nine separate counts — including sexual assault and causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity.

He faced life in prison if found guilty. However, he was deemed in innocent in July 2023 and acquitted of all nine charges.

In his interview with Daily Mail, Mark went on to gush about Spacey and fiercely defended the actor.

“I don’t think someone should lose their livelihood over an allegation. On the other hand, all of us who sign contracts have morals clauses in them. Alienating a good part of your audience is a money loser. I think it happened too quickly,” he said.

Spacey was dropped from several projects when the allegations first came to light in 2017, including being fired from the film “All the Money in the World.”

The “21” star has been enjoying his innocence in recent weeks and was spotted partying with Elton John last month.

Spacey was seen dining at a fancy restaurant on the French Riviera with the “Rocket Man” musician, 76, and his husband David Furnish at the time.
