King Charles still fuming about Harry’s bombshell memoir, 10 months later: expert

King Charles is still “really angry” with his estranged son Prince Harry for airing his “difficulties in public” in his protocol-shattering memoir, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, sensationally left no stone unturned with the release of his tell-all book “Spare,” in January, and it seems as though his words cut deep as his father is still fuming 10 months on.

Royal biographer and expert Tom Quinn says that the general feeling towards Harry has not changed in the palace since his revelations came to light.

“I have spoken to the people who worked for Meghan and Harry when they were in England and have also interviewed people who worked for William and Kate,” Quinn told the Express.

“And they say that privately there’s a lot more anger than there is publicly. Charles, in particular, is said to be really angry about it.”

Quinn, who wrote “Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family,” said the monarch has taken great offense to the “whole idea that these difficulties should be aired in public.”

He adds that Harry is “always complaining about the way he was treated,” which seems to add to the ongoing rift between the King and him.

This rang true last month when Harry returned to home soil for the WellChild Awards ceremony and failed to meet up with his father.

“Harry has said some deeply hurtful things about Camilla, and yet the King will still correspond with his son, albeit not directly,” royal expert and author Duncan Larcombe told The Sun.

“It’s remarkable really, because when Charles became King he said he loved Harry and Meghan which was a huge olive branch– which Harry then took, snapped in half, and then hit him with it.”

Larcombe added that Charles is still “subtly punishing” Harry in the fallout of his publicized projects at the royal family’s expense.

“It appears that King Charles’ approach towards Harry now is business as usual — ‘if you want to see me you need to make an appointment,’” he continued.

“Harry will have to get past the grey suits and jump through hoops to talk to his father. It’s very standoffish but I think that’s a way that the king is subtly punishing his son.”
