Lara Gut-Behrami leapfrogs Mikaela Shiffrin in Alpine Ski World Cup standings with third straight victory

In-form Lara Gut-Behrami secured her third straight Alpine Ski World Cup victory to move above the injured Mikaela Shiffrin in the overall standings.

Her time of 1:59.27 put her just a hundredth of a second clear of New Zealand’s Alice Robinson in a thrilling giant slalom.

Gut-Behrami, looking for a first crystal globe since 2016, was ninth after the first run, but produced a superb second run to move to the top of the overall World Cup standings with 1,214 points for the season.
