Lisa Kudrow shocked by son’s opinion of ‘Friends’: ‘Like, f–k you!’

“Friends” actress Lisa Kudrow was apparently disturbed by her son’s reaction to her role in the hit NBC sitcom Tuesday, saying that it felt “demeaning.”

The not-so-friendly comment was revealed by Kudrow, 58, during an interview with Seth Meyers on his late-night television show.

According to Kudrow, her 24-year-old son, Julian Murray Stern, was surprised by the humor in it.

“He was impressed. He goes, ‘It’s actually really funny,’ ” said Kudrow.

But he seemed to be more bowled over by other members of the ensemble cast.

“He said, ‘It’s actually really funny, and I mean, the guys are so funny.’ And he’s like, ‘No, I mean, you’re funny, too.’ And never in my life have I wanted to tell my own kid, like, ‘F – – k you!’ ”

Kudrow said that she didn’t actually say the word — but she did think it.

“I mean, listen, it’s not required that you’re a fan. You don’t have to like what I do,” continued “The Comeback” star.

“But don’t be so demeaning! Wow!”

Kudrow also revealed that while her son isn’t a “Friends” superfan, he was at least a fan of her other show “The Comeback,” which he binged while quarantining with COVID-19.

“[He] called me up and said, ‘So, I just watched the first two episodes. It’s really good, Mom.’ I said, ‘Thanks.’ He said, ‘Can I ask you some questions about that?’ ” recounted Kudrow.

“Like, yes! I almost started crying! I didn’t think that anyone in my family liked that show,” she confessed.
