Lisa Marie Presley honored with unveiling of new exhibit at Graceland

Lisa Marie Presley is being immortalized on what would have been her 56th birthday.

The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley died last January and her life and legacy is being remembered in a new exhibit.

The “Lisa Marie: Growing Up Presley” event is being put on display and opened on Feb. 1 at the Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tenn.

“Lisa was born in Memphis and had always called Graceland home. I remember her first seeing a quote from her dad from the original exhibit that said she was the greatest thing that had ever happened to him, and her reaction will forever be etched into my brain,” Joel Weinshanker, managing partner and majority owner of Elvis Presley Enterprises, said in a statement. ‘I know y’all will enjoy this amazing, expanded exhibition as much as she did,” Weinshanker said.

The exhibition showcases many items that belonged to Lisa Marie, as well as memorabilia, photos, clothes, childhood objects, magazine covers and more.

Other momentos include her old school yearbooks, musical instruments she used, wallets from the 1980s and 45 of her outfits that she wore throughout her life.

One look presented is the dress she donned at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards — two days before her death.

Angie Marchese, who is the vice president of archives and exhibits at Elvis Presley Enterprises, spoke about the display to Commercial Appeal recently.

“She kept everything,” Marchese explained. “It’s almost a family thing. Elvis kept everything, so she kept everything.”

“You have these elegant dresses by major labels and fashion designers, like Versace, but you also the casual things she would buy at Target,” she added.

A letter from Oprah Winfrey is also included, as well as the “Bite Me” top she wore to the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.

Photos of the “To Whom It May Concern” singer with her famous dad are also shown in the exhibit.

“We’ll continue to tell her story in various ways,” Marchese continued. “This is just the beginning.”

Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, paid tribute to her late mom by sharing a throwback photo of them to on Instagram last month.

“❤️,” the “Daisy Jones and the Six” star, 34, captioned the sweet snap.

Keough will also be publishing Lisa Marie’s unfinished memoir in October.

“She had been working on it for I want to say three or four years and it’s just something I felt that I needed to do for her and help her complete that project. It’s very bittersweet and I am happy to do that for her. I feel honored to be able to help,” she dished to Variety at the Emmy Awards on Jan. 15.

“Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’s daughter. I was lucky to have had that opportunity, and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one,” the “Magic Mike” star said.
