Consumer confidence: The mood among US consumers is expected to have deteriorated slightly in November, with the Conference Board’s consumer confidence index forecast to decline to a reading of 101 from 102.6 in October.
Housing: The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller home price index, which tracks home prices in 20 major US metropolitan areas, is projected to have increased by 0.8 per cent in September after rising 1 per cent in August.
Fedspeak: US Federal Reserve governor Christopher Waller will deliver a speech on the economic outlook at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington. Fed governor Michelle Bowman will give an address on monetary policy and the economy at the Utah Bankers Association and Salt Lake Chamber in Salt Lake City. Chicago Fed president Austan Goolsbee will give opening remarks at an agricultural conference.
Earnings: Several tech companies, including Intuit, Workday, CrowdStrike, Splunk and HPE will report their latest quarterly earnings after Wall Street’s closing bell.
Biden: US president Joe Biden will travel to Atlanta to attend the funeral of former first lady Rosalynn Carter, wife of former president Jimmy Carter.
