Liza Koshy takes brutal fall on Oscars 2024 red carpet

Nothing can keep Liza Koshy down at the 2024 Oscars.

The 27-year-old charismatic former YouTuber and media personality graced the 96th Academy Awards red carpet on Sunday in a red off-the-shoulder Marchesa gown and massive platform heels — the latter causing her to fall to the ground in front of photographers.

“That’s alright,” the “Players” actress said from the ground as an assistant rushed to help her up.

“It was a manhole,” she joked. “You saw that? Oh my god.”

Later down the carpet, Koshy asked red carpet correspondent Amelia Dimoldenberg if she witnessed her “eat it.”

“I’m joining a legendary group of women like J. Law who fell on the carpet,” Koshy quipped, referring to Jennifer Lawerence tripping on the 2014 Oscars red carpet.

Koshy continued, “I made a whole moment of it. I said, ‘Wait a minute. I’m not nominated. I’m not presenting. I gotta fall,’” adding that the carpet smelled like Dimoldenberg’s feet.

The tumble quickly made its rounds on X (formerly Twitter), where fans praised her for handling “it with grace.”

“I hope she’s okay! Tripping can happen to anyone, but I’m sure she handled it with grace,” another said.

“Hope she’s ok!” another added.

“Still a queen,” a third person added.

Meanwhile, others found humor in the collective “ooooh” reaction from the photographers.

“The way everyone gasped,” one person chuckled.
