Luke Rowe hoping for more ‘incredible memories’ after signing new two-year Ineos Grenadiers deal

Luke Rowe has signed a new two-year contract with Ineos Grenadiers and says he is hoping to create more “incredible memories” with the team.

The Welshman has put pen to paper on a deal will keep him with the team until 2025, as has team-mate Kim Heiduk.

It means Rowe will have spent 14 consecutive seasons with Ineos and will make him the third-longest tenured rider on the squad.

“This team has been by home for my entire career and to ride on with them is a real honour,” he said on the

“I’ve been fortunate to play my part in some of the brilliant results we’ve achieved in the past and will do the same for the very exciting future to come.”

Rowe first joined the team, then called Team Sky, in 2012, and celebrated by winning the opening stage at the Tour of Britain in the same year.

He rode in eight successive editions of the Tour de France between 2015 and 2022 and, despite missing out on featuring in what would have been a third Vuelta a Espana this year, has regularly been given the role of road captain.

“My time as a Grenadier has included some incredible memories, I can’t wait to create many more,” he added.

“As one of the older, wiser heads, along with the likes of Geraint and Ben Swift, we have a real opportunity to help the incredible array of young talent in the team as we look to achieve our goals.”

Heiduk, a former German Under-23 national road race champion, has signed an extension with Ineos after joining from Team Lotto – Kern Haus in 2022.

He picked up a podium at the Tour of Austria earlier this year, before taking part in the Vuelta a Espana for the first time, completing his debut Grant Tour event in the process.

The 23-year old said: “In one way, the last two years with the team have gone super fast, then in another it feels like I’ve been here a lot longer because of how happy I am here.

“I‘m thankful to be a rider for the Ineos Grenadiers and really excited to continue my journey with the team. I’m happy with how I’ve developed as a rider over the last two seasons and want to continue like this.”
