Madonna’s ‘Celebration’ tour features an ‘envious’ Cher video calling her ‘mean’
She’s “hung up” on it.
Madonna’s long-awaited “Celebration” tour sent shockwaves across social media Sunday after the pop icon featured decades-old footage of Cher calling the Material Girl “mean.”
The moment, which was captured on TikTok by a fan, takes place during the concert’s interlude where several artists including Ariana Grande commented on the “Like a Virgin” singer’s contributions to the musical world.
However, the montage also features a brief clip of the “Strong Enough” singer claiming that Madonna was mean during a visit to her house several years ago.
“There are lots of things that I respect about [Madonna],” said Cher, 77, in a longer clip of the interview that was posted on YouTube. “I think that she knows how to work the business like nobody I’ve ever seen before. And there’s something about her that I don’t like. She’s mean.”
“I don’t like that,” added the Goddess of Pop. “I remember having her over at my house a couple of times because Sean [Penn] and I were friends, and she just was so rude to everybody.”
“It seems to me that she’s got so much that she doesn’t have to act the way that she acts like a spoiled brat all the time,” lambasted Cher adding that when you reach the level of fame the “Popular” singer had, you should be grateful.
Several fans couldn’t believe Cher would say something so cruel.
“Cher has been always envious of Madonna,” said one user.
“I LOVE how she closes the door on Cher’s comment who has always found a reason to shade Madonna,” cackled a second user.
“Cher doesn’t even like her,” chided a third person. “Gaga should have been in that collage.”
The Post reached out to the “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer for comment.
This is not the first time Cher has expressed herself when it came to her feud with the “Evita” actress.
In 2018, the Oscar winner appeared on the now-canceled “Ellen DeGeneres show” and was asked which three singers she would like to duet with.
“Oh. Adele, Pink, and, um, not Madonna,” replied Cher.
“Well, alright, Miss Negative,” interjected DeGeneres, 65. “It’s who you’d want to,not who you wouldn’t want to.”
Madonna’s opening night — which featured LOTS of voguing — also featured the Queen of Pop’s daughter Estere who helped her mom strike a rather fierce pose during the iconic dance number.
The pop superstar’s son, David Banda, 18, also joined his mother during the number “Let’s Go Crazy” and strummed on the guitar to “Mother and Father.”
Madge’s daughter Mercy James, 17, also took to the piano to play alongside her mother during a performance of “Bad Girl.”
The legendary singer later credited her six children for giving her the strength to survive.
“I didn’t think I was gonna make it,” said the 65-year-old songstress. “I forgot five days of my life — or my death.”
“But my children were there — and my children always save me every time.”
