Man driving tow truck shot in NYC: cops

A man who was operating a tow truck in the Bronx was in critical condition after he was shot in the head Sunday morning, cops said.

The 35-year-old man was at Bruckner Boulevard and 141st Street when he was struck by a bullet around 1 a.m., cops said.

Photographs of the crime scene show police officers shining flashlights into the cab of a red tow truck that had a minivan on its tow hook.

Police said they didn’t have a motive for the shooting.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many shots were fired, but multiple yellow evidence markers had been placed on the street.

The man was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition, cops said.

Police said they didn’t have a motive for the shooting and were unable to confirm that the man was driving the tow truck.
