Mariah Carey’s kids fed up with ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ in funny video
All they want for Christmas is for their famous mom to stop singing that song.
Mariah Carey went viral on Christmas Eve after the self-appointed “Queen of Christmas” posted a video of her 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, begging her not to perform “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
“Mom, please. We don’t want to do this every time,” Moroccan says to Carey, who is dressed in her iconic red and white suit, while Monroe agrees.
“It’s just being festive … It’s not every—,” Carey, 54, retorts, before singing the tune’s opening notes.
As Carey, who shares custody with her ex-husband Nick Cannon, breaks out into song, her kids dramatically rush off camera to get away from her.
“Had to do it! Merry Christmas Eve,” Carey captioned the post.
The video featuring the iconic 1994 holiday tune was part of several social media posts that the “Butterfly” singer shared.
In one batch of photos, the songstress can be seen wearing a black top with a scarlet coat and diamond necklace while standing in the snow with lace gloves, sunglasses and boots.
She also wore a pink furry jacket and Coco Chanel mittens while taking a sleigh ride.
In another set of photos, Carey sported a sparkly red dress and white fur coat as she posed next to a man dressed as Santa Claus.
The Grammy winner’s Christmas extravaganza came mere days after she visited the White House.
“Last week I had the pleasure of meeting President Biden & Vice President Harris at the White House to ring in the holiday season,” Carey posted on Instagram. “While there, we got to see all the festive decor and spread some cheer! 🎄❄️☃️.”
In the photo, the hitmaker and her two children chatted with President Joe Biden, 81, before sitting down with Harris, 56.
Carey celebrated the holidays single this year, as she recently split from her longtime boyfriend Bryan Tanaka.
According to Page Six, Tanaka, 40, was just in a different place in his life.
“He wants to have a family. That’s not where she is at,” one source shared.
A second insider added: “He wants to start having his own life.”
The vocalist and backup dancer were together for seven years. Tanaka previously worked for Carey in 2006 before announcing their relationship in 2016. They briefly parted ways in 2017, but reconciled soon after.
