Matt Weston faultless again with third consecutive World Cup gold victory at Innsbruck course
World champion Matt Weston notched his third consecutive World Cup victory with a dominant gold in Innsbruck.
Two weeks on from tasting global glory when he became the first British man to win the world title for 15 years, Weston was in a league of his own once more.
The 25-year-old was the fastest in both runs, setting two track records on his way to an overall time of 1:42.96, cutting the gap to overall World Cup leader Christopher Grotheer to 76 points ahead of the season finale next weekend.

Grotheer missed out on the podium by two hundredths of a second on this occasion, short of Seunggi Jung of Korea, who took silver, and Chen Wenhao of China, who claimed his first World Cup podium finish.
Earlier in the day, Kimberley Bos claimed her second World Cup gold of the season.
The World Championship runner-up sat eleventh after her first run but a track record with her second attempt saw her emerge victorious.
Hallie Clarke, 18, led at the halfway stage but the US athlete had to settle for silver after finishing 0.28 seconds off the pace, while Kim Meylemans of Belgium finished a further 0.05 seconds back.
Following a tenth-place finish, overall leader Tina Hermann has seen her lead at the summit cut from 100 to just 27 points ahead of the final event of the season in Sigulda.
Bos leads the chasing pack with Canada’s Mirela Rahneva still in the hunt in third.
