Matthew Perry’s emotional moment from ‘Friends’ reunion goes viral

An emotional clip from the recent Friends reunion has tugged at the heartstrings of millions after the tragic and untimely death of star Matthew Perry.

During the reunion, Perry mentioned how much of an impact his co-stars had on his life and thanked them for the memories throughout the hit show’s 10 season run.

“The best way I can describe it is, after the show was over, if we were at a party and one of us bumped into each other, that was it. That was the end of the night,” he began.

“You just sat with the person all night long. You apologized to the people you were with but they had to understand you had met somebody special to you and you were going to talk to that person for the rest of the night.”

Co-star Courteney Cox fought back tears saying, “it’s so true”.

Perry was reportedly found dead at his home the Los Angeles area in an apparent drowning accident on Saturday.

Emergency services rushed to the star’s address following a call from his assistant.

Sources initially told TMZ that Perry had been found in a hot tub, while shortly after another told the US site that he had just returned home from a game of pickleball.

Matthew Perry stated that if he ever ran into a former Friends co-star at a party he would spend the rest of the night talking with them.

No drugs were found at the scene and no foul play is suspected.

In a statement, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed, “We responded to the 1800 block of Blue Sail Rd for a death investigation on a male at 4:10pm this afternoon. “He was in his 50s.”

Perry’s final Instagram post was of himself lounging in the corner of a hot tub, just five days before he would be found dead.

“Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,” Perry wrote in his final message to fans.
