‘Maybe they don’t believe me’
There’s no stopping these sickos.
A woman has claimed that she’s bombarded with pictures of penises, sent by suitors to her cell phone — despite the fact she’s legally blind.
Claire Sisk — who went blind after suffering two strokes at the age of 29 — shared the shocking admission on her popular TikTok account on Thursday, with her clip clocking more than 700,000 views in less than 24 hours.
In the viral video, Sisk said, “I get sent a lot of lower regional area pictures from guys. Maybe they don’t believe I’m blind.”
The 41-year-old disability advocate further explained that she relies on a screen reader to narrate messages to her, with a system that is also able to describe any images she’s sent.
“I’ve just received an image, and I have to share this with you,” Sisk giggled before holding up her phone to the camera, and playing a message from the screen reader.
The automated message stated that the picture probably showed “a mushroom growing in the ground.”
Sisk was joined by thousands of followers who all found humor in the adaptive tool mistaking manhood for the fungus.
“Oh, that’s amazing. Your screen reader is savage,” one amused viewer wrote in the comments section beneath the clip.
“Ego also buried in ground after that description! That one hurts!” another chimed in.
One tongue-in-cheek TikToker suggested that the man may be innocent after all, and had simply sent an image of a real fungus. “What if he actually sent a pic of a mushroom?” they asked.
Sisk, from London, has become a prominent public figure on both TikTok and Instagram, where she shares updates about her life as a legally blind woman.
Under the handle “@canseecantsee,” the blonde boasts 212,000 TikTok followers, with videos showing how she manages to cook, clean and shop despite her lack of vision.
Sisk began to lose her sight back in 2009 after suffering two strokes, according to a recent interview with the BBC. By 2017, her core vision cells were completely destroyed, leaving her legally blind. The Englishwoman now has a limited amount of peripheral vision.
Sisk told the outlet she started her social media accounts in a bid to break down the stigma surrounding blind people in the UK.
