Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton will ‘never be friends’ despite rumored peace talks: expert

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s fractured relationship will never be fixed, according to a royal expert.

Reports claiming that the Duchess of Sussex had reached out to the Princess of Wales in recent weeks were debunked by royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, who claims the estranged sisters-in-law will “never be friends.”

“Meghan Markle has not been in contact with the Princess of Wales. As the princess is currently in recovery, it would be a highly inappropriate time for Meghan to do any outreach,” Schofield told Fox News.

“Catherine is currently dipping her toes back into her routine,” Schofield said, “navigating light communication, i.e. emails, approving scheduling and household duties. Having to navigate the hurricane that is Meghan Markle is not on her agenda.”

Earlier this month, sources told Us Weekly that the “Suits” alum, 42, attempted to extend an olive branch to Middleton, also 42, as well as her father-in-law, King Charles.

“Moves are being made to reconcile,” an insider told the outlet, before another added, “Meghan is supportive of Harry in all of this, and she wishes the royals — Kate included — the very best.”

But according to Schofield, there’s “no love lost with Meghan Markle.”

“Meghan and the Princess of Wales will never be friends,” Schofield declared. “Prince Harry solidified that with the publication of his memoir, ‘Spare,’ although Meghan originally crossed the line with the complaints disguised as being the bigger person via the Oprah Winfrey interview.”

“Despite the betrayal, Harry will always have a place in Catherine’s heart because she … knew a very different Harry,” he added.

The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace and reps for the Sussexes for comment.

Earlier this week, royal author Duncan Larcombe claimed that Markle’s swift exit from royal life in 2020 left Middleton with “very few people to confide in.”

“Being in the royal family is a lonely place, and Kate’s got very few people now, especially after the queen’s death, who she can go to and confide in,” Larcombe told OK! magazine.

“The fact that things didn’t work out with Meghan was a real blow because Prince Harry’s bride would have been another person stuck in the same situation. Think back to when Diana and Fergie were always giggling and would help each other let off steam . . . Kate hasn’t got that.”

Ever since the Sussexes sat down with Winfrey for their explosive tell-all interview in 2021, Middleton has not found it in her heart to forgive Markle for the “damage” caused.

Sources close to the Princess said that she saw the bombshell interview as the “ultimate betrayal” by Markle.
