Meghan Markle ‘smart’ to join ‘Suits’ reboot — but shouldn’t be ‘greedy’ with salary: PR guru

If Meghan Markle ever wants to work in Hollywood again, she can’t be “greedy” with her salary demands — one PR guru claims.

Ryan McCormick says it would be a “smart career move” for the Duchess of Sussex, 42, to return to the screen four years after fleeing the British royal family.

The comments come amid rumors of a reboot of her uber-popular legal drama “Suits,” with other cast members reuniting at the Golden Globes this past Sunday.

McCormick told the Mirror: “Being directly involved and associated with projects that are positively viewed is terrific for Meghan’s image and can also insulate her a bit when facing public criticism.”

“Meghan should be grateful for this opportunity and make it a point to be kind and charming to everyone down to the production assistants on this program,” he added.

“Because Meghan’s profile has risen considerably since her previous run, I think she should negotiate a healthy salary increase but, not get greedy,” he went on.

McCormick continued: “If she asks for too much money and the deal falls apart it will hurt her reputation.”

Markle appeared as paralegal Rachel Zane for seven seasons of the USA Network show, from 2011 until mid-2018.

The show shot her into instant fame, but she subsequently retired from acting in 2018 to marry Prince Harry.

She allegedly earned about $47,000 per episode of “Suits,” cashing in at $424,000 annually.

Her “Suits” Patrick Adams, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and Gabriel Macht thrilled fans with their surprise Globes appearance on Sunday.

According to Page Six, Markle turned down an offer to appear at the coveted awards show with her former costars.

“We asked the duchess, but we were told that, unfortunately, she had a previous commitment,” a Globes insider said.

“Suits” experienced a major resurgence in popularity when it was added to Netflix last June, reaching a record-breaking viewership number at the time.

At the ceremony, Torres, 54, explained that the royal has not been part of the cast’s text group chat.

“When it all came through, we were all texting each other,” she told Variety at the bash. “Yes, our text thread is insane right now. So it’s very exciting.”

“We don’t have her number,” she said. “We just don’t. So she’ll see, she’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.”

It was also previously reported that the “Suits” universe is reportedly expanding, however the new show would not reboot or a spinoff of the original series.

The new show would be set in the same world as the OG series, but it would take place in Los Angeles with a new cast.
