Meghan Markle would only meet these 3 royals if she returns to the UK: expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have only returned to the United Kingdom a handful of times since their dramatic departure from the royal family back in 2020.

But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may soon travel back to the country to spend more time with King Charles in light of his recent cancer diagnosis.

However, if the pair do return to London temporarily they will purportedly be subject to “strict rules” about which royal family members they can reunite with.

“They could be confined, I think, to meetings with [King] Charles and perhaps [Princesses] Eugenie and Beatrice,” royal expert Jennie Bond told New Magazine, per the Mirror.

“The rest of the family would have to think hard about the implications of meeting Harry and Meghan,” she continued.

Markle and Harry are in the midst of a years-long feud with Prince William and Princess Kate.

Bond claimed that other senior members of the royal family, such as Princess Anne, would be forced to display their “loyalty” to the Prince and Princess of Wales and as such would avoid a reunion with the Sussexes.

Meanwhile, Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold told the Post on Friday that Harry and Markle’s return to the UK is “possible” — and possibly permanent.

“It’s difficult to say given everything that has gone on and the trust that has been broken down whether they could return as full-time royals, but I’ve always said if Harry did return to the UK, it is possible,” Harrold said.

But Harry would still have to make amends with William before a permanent relocation to the UK.

“He could have a discussion with his brother about resuming his royal duties, but obviously there is so much that has happened over the last couple of years and that needs to be sorted out before the Sussexes made a permanent return,” Harrold explained.

“I don’t think it would be impossible — when I was working for the royal family, I saw how close William and Harry were, I don’t think that’s a relationship that is too far gone to be healed or fixed.”
