The Czech Republic clinched a dramatic 7-6 victory over Turkey in an extra end showdown at the men’s Curling World Championships.

But two stones from Ugurcan Karagoz in the final moments of the battle levelled the scores and sent the match into a tense 11th end.

The USA stormed to an emphatic 11-5 victory over Korea, as John Shuster’s rink picked up nine points in just three ends in Ottawa, Canada.
Following an initial two points from Korea in the opening end, the USA scored four, two and three to seal the deal and put themselves in a comfortable lead.
Korea hit back with three points of their own in the fifth, but the USA lead was too great to overcome and they conceded following the sixth end.
Switzerland also cruised to an 11-4 win over Norway whilst Italy secured a 7-2 victory over Germany.
