Mikhail Baryshnikov does crazy dance on Vogue World runway
Mikhail Baryshnikov still has the moves.
The former ballet dancer, 74, did some wild dancing on the Vogue World runway on Monday night in New York City.
The “Sex and the City” alum looked joyous as he pranced down the catwalk, donning a beige trench coat, sneakers and cool purple sunglasses.
Baryshnikov danced his way through the show alongside other stars and models such as Serena Williams, Erykah Badu, Helena Christensen, Amber Valletta, Lara Stone, Adut Akech, Precious Lee and Kendall Jenner.
“#MikhailBaryshnikov took to the #VogueWorld runway and embraced the catwalk as a dance floor, along with a full cast of New York characters who celebrated the city —and 130 years of Vogue,” the fashion bible captioned a reel from the show on Instagram.
Fans loved the actor’s gyrations, with one commenting: “I thought it was Rudy Gulianni for a second.”
“The legend that is Mikhail,” another added. “Well this is perfect.”
The “Sex and the City” fan account EveryOutfitOnSATC also reposted the magazine’s video of Baryshnikov, and more fans admired him busting a move.
Users made references to his character, Aleksandr Petrovsky, from the late ’90s HBO series and his relationship with Carrie Bradshaw (played by icon Sarah Jessica Parker).
“On his way to slap Carrie the second time,” someone wrote, referencing a Season 6 moment in the dramedy where Petrovsky struck the unlucky-in-love writer.
Another joked: “I couldn’t help but wonder, who makes that trench?”
“This also gives me if-Hannibal-Lecter-loved-disco vibes, somehow,” one quipped.
One fan said of the “White Nights” star: “He saw his moment and he took it.”
