Mom shares toddler’s oddly adorable obsession with demonic doll

Children say the darndest things — and choose the strangest toys.

A three-year-old from Florida got into the Halloween spirit early during a photoshoot with her unusual baby doll, named “Creepy Chloe.”

Despite her own rosy cheeks and disposition, little Briar Rose fell in love with a baby doll of the undead from Spirit Halloween whose skin is grey and cracked, eyes are beady and black, and who wears a filthy dress.

According Briar’s mother, Brittany Beard, the little girl and her scary sidekick are rarely separated, resulting in some amusing — albeit strange — excursions.

In a post with thousands of comments and shares on Facebook, the 33-year-old mom detailed their latest trip to Magic Kingdom in Disney World where everyone got in on the spooky spirit.

“Briar insisted on dressing Creepy Chloe in a princess dress and bringing her along,” the mom of two wrote in the post on Aug. 26. “Because creepy babies need Disney magic too I guess?”

Briar was set up with a photoshoot at Disney World’s Haunted Mansion theme park, dressed as one of the park’s cast members.

“The photographer was eating it up and kept coming up with posing ideas for Chloe,” Beard recalled. “I’m sure it was quite an unexpected change from her usual never ending line of glittery Bippity Boppity Boutique princesses.”

Briar and her bestie were treated like VIPs at the Haunted Mansion, where she was reportedly “whisked away” to the secret “Servants Quarters” when they saw her costume.

“We got to see the keys to all rooms and the bells that ring to call the servants up,” Beard explained. “Then they popped us right out into the stretching room. The cast members were waiting for us when the doors opened to present us with official Haunted Mansion Caretaker certificates and to walk us right on to the ride. It was so magical!”

The tot was also treated to some Halloween-themed treats throughout her special day at Disney.

“While eating breakfast at the Grand Floridian café, they brought out the cast member pastry chef to meet Briar and Creepy Chloe because apparently she loves all things spooky,” the mom wrote. “She said she adored that Briar loved the doll and at the end of the meal, she surprised Briar with an amazing spooky cupcake and a mini handmade chocolate Haunted Mansion poster.”

The doll - nicknamed 'Creepy Chloe' - even dressed up for the occasion.

Despite the zombie doll’s creepy appearance, Beard says she and her husband have begrudgingly come around to her presence in their home.

“So all in all, I guess the moral of the story is when your 3-year-old throws a fit over absolutely needing a super creepy Halloween doll… buy the doll,” she says.

“Creepy Chloe might be stealing my soul while I sleep, but we are making the best of our time left over here!”
