Mom spoils son’s romantic Italy proposal by turning camera on herself before he pops the question

Way to ruin the moment, mom!

A mother recording her son’s special moment right when he’s about to propose to his girlfriend ends in disaster when she accidentally turns the camera on herself.

Video posted to TikTok starts out by showing the son in the process of getting on one knee to propose to his girlfriend in Italy’s beautiful Saint Peter’s Square.

But right before viewers get to see the son take a knee and present the engagement ring to his girlfriend, the mother seemingly fumbles with the camera and turns it on herself.

The mother, nervously smiling, looks into the camera for a few seconds, as her eyes slightly widen when she realizes what just happened.

“Please, please, please tell me there was someone else taking another video omg🤣,” one comment read under the video that’s now been viewed more than 1.9 million times.

“I know she’s innocent, but this just made me so mad lol 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩,” a replier said.

“She had one job 😭😭😭,” another person jokingly commented.

“Everyone’s saying their mad, I feel so bad for her 😩😩😩 you can tell she was distressed when she realized it was on her face 😭,” one woman said in pity.

Most viewers commenting were all curious if there was another video taken that showed the full proposal.

Thankfully, another video did capture the full moment, according to the girlfriend’s TikTok account.

“Yes!😭, luckily his dad was recording the whole thing!” the girlfriend, now fiancée, captioned in another video replying to one of the many curious viewers.

In the second video, the son is seen taking a knee before he opens the ring box to his now-fiancé.

The girlfriend immediately puts her hands over her mouth in disbelief and nods her head yes before the couple hug and share a kiss.
