Movie props at TCM auctions

Here’s a chance to be the hero in your own Hollywood remake.

A machete wielded by Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones, a shield brandished by “Captain America” and a machine gun toted by Bruce Willis in “Die Hard” are among the items up for bid during the “Robots, Wizards, Heroes and Aliens” auction hosted by Julien’s of Beverly Hills Dec. 14-17.

Ford’s rope bridge machete from 1984’s “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” is expected to fetch at least $50,000, the auction house said.

Chris Evans’ patriotic shield is poised to sell above the estimate of $50,000 to $70,000.

Willis’ stunt MP5 machine gun from the 1988 blockbuster has a “modest” starting price of $7,000.

Ex-NYPD cop John McClane (Willis) took the weapon from a dead member of the evil Hans Gruber’s (Alan Rickman) crew and used it to turn the tables and save the day.

The star of the auction, however, is out of this world: an original mechanical animatronic E.T. head created by the legendary Carlo Rambaldi and as seen throughout Steven Spielberg’s, “E.T. The Extra Terrestrial.”

“As one of the most recognizable and cherished film props in cinematic history, the E.T. head has the potential to become a coveted centerpiece in any collection with an estimate of $800,000 to $1 million,” said Darren Julien, President and CEO of the SoCal auction house.
