‘Nepo babies’ Riley Keough and Zoe Kravitz were ‘breastfed’ together

Showbiz daughters Riley Keogh and Zoe Kravitz were literally bosom buddies, the Elvis heiress has revealed.

Keough, 34 – who recently inherited her grandfather Elvis Presley’s Graceland home after the untimely death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley — was featured in the latest issue of Vanity Fair after snagging her first Emmy nom for playing a troubled drug addict musician in Prime Video’s “Daisy Jones and the Six.”

Keough told the magazine that her parents, including her father Danny Keough, were friends with actress Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz when Keough and Zoe, now 34, were just babies.

“Crazy fun fact: Zoe and I’s parents were friends when we were really little, so we would hang out as nepo babies, literally. And like, our parents breastfed us next to each other,” she confessed.

The term “nepo babies” became a hot-button issue after a controversial 2022 New York Magazine cover story on Hollywood stars who have famous relatives.

Many stars reacted defensively to the “nepo babies” discussion on social media, including supermodel Kate Moss’s sister, Lottie Moss; Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson; and Ben Platt, who even cut an interview short after getting asked about the topic.

But Keough, who is Hollywood royalty several generations and counting – and was embroiled in a high profile battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s estate with her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, 78 – was casual about the benefits of being raised by famous folks.

“There was a bit of upheaval, but now everything’s going to be how it was,” Keough said, regarding her relationship with her grandmother. “Anything that would suggest otherwise in the press makes me sad because, at the end of the day, all [Priscilla] wants is to love and protect Graceland and the Presley family and the legacy.”

Keough is married to Australian stuntman Ben Smith-Peterson, and she recently revealed that they had a baby girl via a surrogate that they named Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen.

The baby’s middle name is a tribute to Keough’s late brother, Benjamin, who died by suicide in July 2020 at age 27.

“When I lost my brother, there was no road map whatsoever, and it was a lot of big emotions that I didn’t know what to do with,” Keough told Vanity Fair.

“When I lost my mom, I was familiar with the process a little bit more, and I found working to be really helpful. I find it triggering when people say happiness is a choice, but in that moment, I did feel like there was a choice in front of me to give up and let this event take me out or have the courage to work through it. I started trying to move through it and not let it take me out.”

Keough said that she and Kravitz were not childhood friends, since they lost touch as they grew up, but they reconnected as teens.

“Yeah, so we met a long time ago, but we re-met when I was probably 17,” she said. “I think it was a house party in LA. We had a lot of mutual friends and we just became very good friends.”

Kravitz and Keough went on to star in the 2015 blockbuster hit, “Mad Max: Fury Road” together, and Keough described the fellow actress and nepo baby as a “lifelong friend.”
