New Amazon Prime Video drama ‘Riches’ premieres Dec 2nd
They say never to mix family and business.
It doesn’t make for great relationships, but it’s been proven again and again: it makes for great TV.
At least, that’s what “Riches” is counting on. Prime Video’s newest Original Series follows the wealthy, UK-based Richards family as they dispute their cosmetics empire after the sudden death of patriarch, businessman, and company founder Stephen Richards.
Much like in other well-performing dramas of recent years, the cataclysm that is Stephen’s death sends the family into disarray; factions form, tensions rise, and the future of the company, and the family, are on the line.

What is “Riches” about?
Details have been kept fairly under wraps, but, as mentioned in the intro, “Riches” revolves around the Richards family, or should we say Richards families, as it soon becomes clear that the recently-departed patriarch Stephen had two.
That makes vying for his estate, and control of Flair & Glory, the black-owned and operated enterprise that Stephen built from the ground up, all the more difficult.
When Nina (Deborah Ayorinde) and her brother Simon (Emmanuel Imani), Stephen’s estranged, ex-pat children, return to the fold, Nina is, to her surprise and the family’s, placed in charge of Flair & Glory, and her father’s legacy.
Is Nina up to the task? Does she even want to be? Or will her family take her down before she has the chance to decide?
There’s only one way to find out: stream “Riches” today on Amazon Prime Video.
