Newly-single Kevin Costner reunites with his kids in Aspen amid bitter divorce
Newly single guy on the block Kevin Costner has been spotted enjoying some quality time with his kids in Aspen as his bitter divorce rages on.
The Oscar winner’s estranged ex Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1 after 18 years of marriage.
What followed since has been an ugly legal back and forth over finances and Costner’s plush $145 million estate, which Baumgartner has been ordered to vacate after initially refusing to budge.
The “Yellowstone” actor, 68, was seen doing a grocery run hours after picking up Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, from the airport upon their return from a vacation in Hawaii with their mom.
During Monday’s outing, Costner donned cowboy-esque gear, sporting a cowboy hat and sunglasses in an attempt to maintain anonymity.
He topped his casual look off with a short-sleeve, denim button-up and a pair of light-washed jeans.
Meanwhile, his kids appeared to be in good spirits despite the drama surrounding their parents as they were seen heading toward the car in the grocery store’s parking lot.
The actor owns a lavish 160-acre estate in Aspen, which he recently put up for rent in January.
Costner is seeking a cool $36,000 per month for the property, which boasts 12 bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a sledding hill and a baseball field.
The home is a two-hour flight away from his $145 million mansion in Santa Barbara, Calif., which Baumgartner had been ordered to vacate by the end of July.
For her part, Baumgartner soaked up the Hawaiian sun rays with her pal Josh Connor this week.
The pair, who claim to just be friends, were joined at the Four Seasons Resort by her three kids.
Connor is a divorced California-based financier and businessman who has been friends with Costner for a long time.
The couple jetted off on their respective vacations just days after Baumgartner asked a judge to deny Costner’s request to have her pay part of his legal fees.
In court docs obtained by ET last week, Costner had asked that his ex, 49, chip in to pay $100,000 of his legal fees.
But Baumgartner was quick to ask the judge to dismiss the request, claiming that the actor would not have accumulated such substantial fees had he not asked her to vacate their home so soon.
