Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty on house arrest for threatening Offset

It’s “Only” for four months.

Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was sentenced to four months of house arrest after violating his probation order by posting clips on social media threatening Migos rapper Offset.

The order, which was issued by the Central District of California on Wednesday, demands that Petty, 45, be placed under house arrest after he “was recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”

“This recent violation conduct raises concerns of Mr. Petty’s willingness to comply with the Court’s orders,” continued the statement. “Such as, the probation officer believes placement in the Location Monitor Program will effectively allow for closer monitoring of Mr. Petty’s activities, limit his movement and provide sanctions for his non-compliance.”

The court hopes Petty’s time in the program will “encourage him to reflect upon and reevaluate his current status in the community.”

In a since-deleted Instagram Live that was posted to X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month, Petty and two other unidentified males can be seen loitering around a New York City hotel where Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was rumored to be staying.

In the clip, Petty repeatedly asked the “Clout” singer where he was and called him a racial slur.

In a second video, one of Petty’s accomplices told the singer: “Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral pussy!”

However, it is known that Petty's wife Niki Minaj and Cardi B, who is married to Offset, have had a long-running feud ever since the "WAP" songstress, 30, was photographed allegedly attacking Minaj, 40, at the Harper's Bazaar Icons party during New York Fashion Week in September 2018.

The Post reached out to Offset and Minaj for comment.

In an attempt to brush off Petty’s comments, Offset replied to the post saying “I’m getting off a jet, he’s funny,” implying that Petty is broke.

The expletive-filled video also reportedly violated Petty’s three-year probation order that went into effect in July 2022 after he failed to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020.

Minaj and Cardi B, who is married to Offset, have had a long-running feud too. In September 2018, the “WAP” songstress, 30, was photographed allegedly throwing a shoe at Minaj, 40, at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party during New York Fashion Week.

This is not the first time that Petty has come under the scrutiny of the law. In 1995, he was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl and subsequently spent four years in a New York prison.

More recently, Minaj and Petty also faced blowback after their Hidden Hills, California, neighbors signed a petition to oust the musical couple due to Petty’s sex offender status.

The Change.org petition began circulating online in December 2022 after the “Super Bass” artist reportedly purchased a $19.5 million estate in the neighborhood.

More than 500 people signed the petition after Petty filed legal documents to update his address on the Megan’s Law website, according to TMZ.

Hidden Hills is home to a number of high-profile celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Simpson and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.
