Nicole Kidman takes bloody tumble on ‘Babygirl’ set: photos
But will her AMC ad play in the trailers?
Nicole Kidman sported a bloody knee while filming her upcoming erotic thriller “Babygirl” in New York City on Thursday — but it was just for the cameras.
In photos obtained by The Post, Kidman, 56, can be seen looking wild-eyed as she sits on the ground wearing a cream-colored coat and a light grey scarf.
The “Hours” star completed her ensemble with a pair of white shoes, white cold-weather gloves and a light gray bag.
Other photos show the “Moulin Rouge” actress standing around in a chic knee-length dress as she waits for director Halina Reijn, 48, to start filming.
In a fourth photo, a large black dog hovers over the Oscar winner as she lies down on the pavement.
“The Iron Claw” actor Harris Dickinson, Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde and Jean Reno round out the cast.
The film, which was also written by Reijn, tells the story of an incredibly successful CEO (Kidman) who engages in an illicit affair with her younger intern (Dickinson).
Banderas, 63, is slated to appear as Kidman’s husband with Wilde, 26, playing the role of Kidman’s assistant. Reno, 75, plays Kidman’s rival business executive.
The upcoming thriller is not the only big project the Australian actress has in motion.
In November 2023, Kidman revealed that a third season of her hit HBO show “Big Little Lies” was in the works.
“It sort of came along at a time in my life when I had my children and I was thinking I was going to retire. And then this situation came along, where Reese Witherspoon and I were able to produce that show and create that show,” Kidman teased during a Q&A session at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida.
“I loved ‘Big Little Lies,’” she added. “We will be bringing you a third one, just FYI.”
While there has been no official comment on a renewal, Kidman has repeatedly expressed her desire to reunite with Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley.
In fact, she and Witherspoon, 47, have been texting about their plans.
“We’re at work on it,” Kidman told Variety at the premiere of her new Prime Video series, “Expats.”
“There’s a timeline and we’re doing it,” she added. “We can’t say anything more. We’ve got to start keeping our mouths shut … We’ve got to button it.”
Witherspoon went on to tell Variety: “Nic and I have been working on it a lot.”
HBO and Max content chairman Casey Bloys heard “a little bit about the idea,” and they’ve been in touch with “Big Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty.
Dern, 57, is also reportedly “holding out hope” for Season 3.
“I mean, we would all love nothing more,” she told Entertainment Tonight in October 2022. “We’re like family, just very lucky. I say, let’s hold out hope. Let’s keep asking. It might just come true.”
The hubbub is contrary to a statement given by Kravitz, 35, in November 2022. At the time, she said the series was “unfortunately done” after the 2021 death of director and executive producer Jean-Marc Vallée.
