Nika Kriznar seals first World Cup victory in two years for sixth career win to open season account

Nika Kriznar claimed her first ski jumping World Cup victory in more than two years as she topped the standings on the large hill in Lahti.

The Slovenian won the overall Crystal Globe in 2020-21 and has three podium finishes this season.

In Finland, she finally claimed top spot with a stunning performance and led the standings in both the first and second rounds.

Her leap of 127 metres in the first round gave her a lead of 3.6 points over Jacqueline Seifriedsberger of Austria at the halfway stage.

The second time around, she went even further jump of 131.5 metres enough to score 254.1 points across her two jumps.

That was 7.6 points clear of Seifriedsberger, who was joined on the podium by her compatriot Eva Pinkelnig.

Overall World Cup leader Nika Prevc was only 10th but retains a lead of 174 points from Pinkelnig with seven rounds to go.
