Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley tease ‘The Vampire Diaries’ reunion

They’re ready to go back to Mystic Falls.

Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and other cast members of “The Vampire Diaries” seemingly teased a reunion, in a viral TikTok that Dobrev posted on Sunday that was notably missing Ian Somerhalder.

Dobrev, 34, posted a video that featured a slew of her former co-stars as they made suspicious faces and winked at the camera, seemingly hinting at more to come.

“🤫😉 #findmyiphone,” Dobrev, 34, captioned the video, which she added with a wink and a finger over her mouth, like she had a secret.

“The Vampire Diaries” ran on the CW for eight seasons from 2009-2017, following Elena Gilbert (Dobrev), a teen girl living in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, as she was caught in a love triangle between vampire brothers Stephan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). Dobrev also played the devious vampire Katherine, Elena’s identical ancestor.

While the show’s first few episodes seemed like “Twilight, the TV series,” it quickly became known for its breakneck plotting, daring twists, and sometimes shocking violence (as Damon literally ripped countless hearts out of people’s chests).

Elena’s supernatural adventures often included her witch friend Bonnie (Kat Graham), her vampire friend Caroline (Candice King), werewolf Tyler (Michael Trevino), her teacher Alaric (Matt Davis), her one normal friend Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig), and the “original” menacing vampires Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt).

Dobrev’s TikTok included Wesley, Graham, King, Trevino, Holt, and Kayla Ewell (who played Matt’s short-lived troubled sister, Vicki Donovan).

The video did not include Somerhalder, 44, who was romantically linked to Dobrev before he married his now-wife, Nikki Reed (“Twilight”) in 2015. Dobrev, meanwhile, has been dating Olympic snowboarder Shaun White since 2020.

Somerhalder’s absence didn’t go unnoticed, as the top comment on the video is a fan wondering, “Ian somerhalder???” and another fan wrote, “you included tyler but not damon?!”

Talking to The Post in 2019, Somerhalder said, “Honestly — and I mean this in all humility — I think Damon Salvatore is one of the best-written characters in the history of television.”

Another fan commented on the TikTok, “I AUDIBLY SCREAMED at Paul Wesley showing up oh my god. The way literally all of them aged like FINE WINEEE. This is iconic Nina,” to which Dobrev replied with a blushing smiley face emoji.

The cast members did not specify when a possible reunion would be, or what it would involve.

However, Dobrev posted the video shortly before she’s scheduled to appear at Epic’s I Was Feeling Festive convention, which is taking place from Dec. 1 to Dec. 3 in Covington, Georgia, where the show was filmed.

Wesley, King, Ewell and Trevino will also attend the event, along with Zach Roerig, Daniel Gillies, Matt Davis and Michael Malarkey (who played another vampire introduced in later seasons).

This event will mark Dobrev’s first convention appearance since she finished playing Elena in 2015 and departed the show in Season 6.

Ian Somerhalder was originally scheduled to also attend, but in August, the organizers announced on Instagram, “Unfortunately, Ian Somerhalder will no longer be joining us in December,” without citing a reason why.
