Nottingham Forest climb out of Premier League bottom three with impressive win over Brighton
A 3-1 win for Nottingham Forest over Brighton saw the home side move out of the relegation zone as the Premier League season enters its final stages.
Victory for Forest would have taken Steve Cooper’s side out of the bottom three, while for Brighton it was a chance to leapfrog Liverpool in the battle for the Europa League spots, and retain a slim chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Brighton took the lead on 38 minutes when 18-year-old Fernando Buonanotte, another youngster discovered by the south coast side, was on hand to tuck away a rebound after Keylor Navas spilled a ball in the box into the youngster’s path.,

Buonanotte was making his first league start for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, but it was a Brighton veteran at fault for the equaliser.
Three minutes into added time in the first half, Pascal Gross deflected the ball into his own net as the home side went level after an effort from Renan Lodi.

The home side went ahead midway in the second half when Danilo raced clear from the Brighton backline and drilled the ball low past the ‘keeper to put Forest 2-1 up and with hopes of keeping all three points.
Morgan Gibbs-White then added a late third when he converted from the spot.
The win means Forest are 17th on 30 points while Brighton are eighth with 49.
Brentford are next for Forest on Saturday with Brighton taking on Wolves.
