Omnious photo shared by teen charged in Alexa Bartell’s death

One of the three Colorado teens charged in the disturbing rock-throwing spree that killed a young motorist last week shared an ominous photo on social media just months before the attack.

Troubled high school senior Joseph Koenig, 18, posted an image on Facebook of a motorcycle that had a sticker reading, “JUST KILLED A WOMAN…FEELING GOOD” plastered on it.

The chilling photo was posted in December, just four months before 20-year-old Alexa Bartell was killed by a large landscaping rock thrown through her windshield.

The unsettling phrase scrawled on the sticker became a meme after Twitch streamer and YouTuber Tommy Innit uttered it spontaneously while playing a video game several years ago.

Koenig and pals, Nicholas “Mitch” Karol-Chik and Zachary Kwak, were charged with murder in the horrifying attack on Wednesday.

Bartell was returning home from work at 10:45 p.m. on April 19 when the rock was hurled at her from a passing vehicle, officials said.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Koenig, Karol-Chik Kwak had also launched rocks at several other vehicles that night.

Police said the three assailants — all 18 years old — had loaded up on rocks at a Walmart earlier in the night to prepare for their dangerous nighttime antics.

Even before the deadly rock-throwing spree, Koenig was known for his erratic behavior, according to friends and neighbors.

A friend, Joseph Bopp, told authorities that Koenig was prone to “destructive behavior” and liked “causing chaos,” according to an affidavit obtained by CPR News.

A neighbor also told CBS News Colorado that the news of his arrest “wasn’t a shock.”

“There had been discussion and concerns in the neighborhood for actions he had taken in his past,” she told the local outlet without elaborating.

Bartell was on the phone with a friend when the massive stone crashed through her windshield and hit her.

The line suddenly went silent so Bartell’s worried pal tracked her down using her phone’s location.

Bartell’s lifeless body was discovered in her car off the side of the road in a field.

Cops said the trio returned to the scene of their handiwork later that night and snapped sadistic pictures of Bartell’s damaged vehicle.

Koenig’s father, Mark Edwin Koenig, was also arrested this week after police said he tried to prevent them from interviewing his son about the incident, KDVR reported.

Bartell’s shattered friends and relatives have created a memorial fund in her name.

“Alexa was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend,” read an accompanying statement.

“She was an intelligent, kindhearted soul, with a bright future ahead of her. Alexa would do anything for those she knew and loved. This beautiful young life was taken way too soon.”
