Ontario Premier Doug Ford swallows bee during news conference: video

That’s one way to get a politician to stop talking.

A bee flew straight into the mouth of Ontario Premier Doug Ford as he was speaking at a news conference on privatizing health care.

The insect can be seen flying around Ford’s face before it dives directly into his kisser, prompting him to suddenly step back from the microphone and reach into his mouth to try to get the bug out, video shows.

“Holy Christ, I just swallowed a bee!” Ford, 57, can be heard saying.

He drinks from a water bottle before quipping that the clip of the incident was going to get a lot of buzz, the video shows.

“This is going to be played over and over again,” said Ford.

Ford tried to shrug off his intimate moment with the insect, later laughing, “Man, he went right down the hatch.”
