‘Paramount+ cancels ‘iCarly’ reboot after three seasons
The “iCarly” reboot is logging off for good after three seasons on Paramount+.
“’iCarly’ will not be returning for a fourth season on Paramount+. The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together,” a Paramount+ spokesperson told The Post on Wednesday.
The spokesperson added, “We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”
The reboot premiered in July 2021, nine years after the original Nickelodeon series ended its run.
Miranda Cosgrove reprised her role as web show star turned influencer Carly Shay.
The show chronicled the daily adventures of Carly and her older brother, Spencer (Jerry Trainor), as well as her burgeoning romance with good friend Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress). Both Trainor and Kress were returning cast members from the first “iCarly.”
The reboot introduced some new characters, including Carly’s roommate, Harper (Laci Mosley), and Freddie’s stepdaughter, Millicent (Jaidyn Triplett).
The original “iCarly” series ran from 2007 to 2012.
