Pat Sajak creepily claims he hides in ‘Wheel’ co-host Vanna White’s garden
It was a spin … and a big miss.
Pat Sajak made an uncomfortable joke to his “Wheel of Fortune” co-host Vanna White, saying he hides in her garden in the overnight hours after the 66-year-old shared that she spends most of her free time there.
The awkward interaction came at the end of the episode Tuesday night during the duo’s usual post-show send-off.
“So when you’re away from the exciting world of show business, is there a place to go to relax to get away from it all?” asked Sajak, 76.
White replied that she likes to spend her “Wheel”-free hours alone in her backyard.
“Yeah, my garden in my backyard! It’s peaceful it’s quiet — there’s trees, there’s birds,” replied White.
“That’s a nice change of pace,” agreed Sajak.
The longtime letter flipper then asked her stage partner where he likes to spend his downtime.
“Uh, you don’t know this, but it’s actually your garden,” joked Sajak, which prompted nervous laughter from both the crowd and White. “I’m usually there about 2, 3 in the morning. Don’t be alarmed!”
“We’ll see you next time,” added Sajak before the show officially ended.
The Post has reached out to both Sajak’s and White’s representatives for comment.
Sajak — who is no stranger to online criticism — surprised some fans with the comment.
“Pat Sajak with a stalker joke to end the night!!!!!” tweeted one particularly shell-shocked “Wheel” viewer.
This is not the first time the host — who was scolded for playing a “cruel” prank on his wife by White — has come under fire for his strange remarks.
In March, Sajak shocked dropped a shocker when he put contestant Fred Jackson, who claimed to be a professional wrestler, into a headlock after he played a perfect game.
Jackson later issued a statement saying that the tussle between him and Sajak was all good fun and that he “loved it.”
Last month, the game show made some viewers uncomfortable during the show’s WWE week when he asked wrestling star Austin Theory to take off his shirt mid-show.
