Pedro Pascal leads cast of Marvel’s new ‘Fantastic Four’ movie
The fabulous Fantastic Four are back to solve crime once again.
After much speculation, Marvel has announced the new cast for the upcoming revival film based on 1960s comic book superheroes.
The brand took to Instagram on this lovely Valentine’s Day to share the foursome who will wear the blue suits.
Pedro Pascal will star as Reed Richards/ Mr. Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby is portraying Sue Storm/Invisible Woman.
Joseph Quinn is on deck as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm/the Thing.
“Happy Valentine’s Day from Marvel’s First Family!” Marvel captioned a pink drawing of the cast wearing the iconic latex.
The Fantastic Four’s robot pal H.E.R.B.I.E. was also illustrated in the artwork.
The action flick will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
Matt Shakman is directing the new feature and the movie will introduce the characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Fantastic Four was previously adapted for the silver screen in 2005 and 2007, with Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis at the helm.
An ill-fated revival came in 2015 with Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell starring in the top roles.
John Krasinski appeared as Reed in 2022’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” however, that was an alternate version.
X users seemed perturbed by the casting, with some wondering why Pascal, Kirby, Quinn and Moss-Bachrach were pegged to star.
“Not sure how I feel about this fantastic four cast,” someone sighed.
Someone else huffed: “John krasinski literally played reed richards great already.”
“Pretty underwhelmed with the Fantastic 4 casting. Pedro Pascal just doesn’t fit as Reed Richards for me,” another fan chimed in.
“Ebon Moss and Vanessa Kirby are elite castings. Pascal has the potential to be [Robert Downey Jr.] level but if he’s suave and cool like usual it won’t work. Joseph Quinn is just insanely disappointing,” one added.
A user noted: “I know vanessa kirby can act…..still dont like her as Sue.”
Rumors over who would take over the “Fantastic Four” roles first swirled last year, with reports of Pascal’s possible casting being leaked.
According to Deadline, the “The Last of Us” star, 48, was reportedly a frontrunner for Mr. Fantastic.
