People who solve this optical illusion can outsmart the ocean

Sea creatures must often hide to survive in the ocean, creating nature’s optical illusion: camouflage.

An underwater snap of a tiny seahorse has some people questioning their eyesight, with its pink, knobby exterior hiding easily among the similarly textured coral.

The image appears to show a light pink colored coral — but only when you look closely can the seahorse be spotted swimming along the reef.

The seahorse is of the pygmy variety, which live up to 130-feet below the water’s surface, and only grow up to about one inch. They also have rough skin that help them blend easily with coral located on the East Coast of Southeast Asia, in a region known as the Coral Triangle.

It’s not the first time nature has created a crazy optical illusion. Earlier in the week a video of wild horses “walking on water” sent social media into a frenzy.
