Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kalidou Koulibaly, Christian Pulisic: Chelsea plan summer clearout following spending spree

There’s a summer sale on at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are already planning to sell a number of first-team players this summer after completing 16 first-team signings since the takeover of Todd Boehly and Clearlake last summer.

The Guardian report: Hakim Ziyech “will be available in the summer” after a failed deadline day move to Paris Saint-Germain.

“Chelsea, who have agreed a deal to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig in the summer, will also listen to offers for Christian Pulisic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. It remains to be seen if Internazionale will take Romelu Lukaku on loan for another season.

“Callum Hudson-Odoi is unlikely to stay at Chelsea once he returns from his loan at Bayer Leverkusen. It is understood that Arsenal are tracking Hudson-Odoi, while Manchester City have been linked with Ben Chilwell. Conor Gallagher could be forced to consider his options after the arrival of Enzo Fernandez.

“The club’s most pressing task now is to agree a new deal with Mason Mount, who has 18 months left on his contract. Liverpool could bid for Mount in the summer if talks with the midfielder drag on.”

PSG ‘furious’ with Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain are reported to be “furious” with Chelsea after their loan move for Hakim Ziyech was aborted on deadline day. PSG believe the west London club were at fault for a number of admin errors and now their relationship is at an all-time low.

The Telegraph reveal: PSG “will think twice before dealing with Chelsea again as relations between the clubs threaten to hit rock bottom over the ‘Class A circus’ surrounding Hakim Ziyech’s aborted move to France.

“Ziyech was due to move to PSG on loan for the rest of the season, but the transfer was cancelled after agreement documents were received too late to beat the 11pm (GMT) transfer deadline and an appeal was turned down.

“There has been a suggestion that Chelsea simply took their eye off the ball while they completed the British record signing of Enzo Fernandez. That is supported by PSG, who are adamant they received unsigned and incorrect documents before finally receiving the correct signed version just after the 11pm deadline.”

Bellingham is the Real deal

Real Madrid have made Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham their number one priority for the summer. The Spanish champions would ideally like to sign a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema, but neither Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland look to be available, so all focus will shift to Bellingham.

Spanish media outlet AS reveal: “Real Madrid are clear about their main objective for next summer: Jude Bellingham.

“Bellingham is the priority – a signing which hopefully will extend Madrid’s step to replenish the midfield. Bellingham already knows from Madrid that he is on their agenda and that they will have their proposal in place before June. Madrid is confident that the process will be short and satisfactory for all parties.”

Everton still hoping to make a signing

Everton are hoping to pip Nottingham Forest to the signing of free agent Andre Ayew. The Toffees – who are sitting in 19th in the Premier League table – failed to sign a single player in the January transfer window.

The Mail report: “Having held an initial round of discussions, that included sporting director Kevin Thelwell, relegation-threatened Everton are due to hold further face-to-face talks with Ayew.

“However, there are no guarantees the former Swansea and West Ham star will join Everton with Nottingham Forest, among other clubs, also interested. Having arrived in London on Wednesday night, Ayew will head north ahead of expected talks with Everton and Forest, which are expected to take place in the next 24 hours.

“Everton have considered offering Ayew a deal until the end of the season.”
