Pippa Middleton ex, Lady Gabriella husband dies
Thomas Kingston, Lady Gabriella‘s husband and Pippa Middleton‘s ex-boyfriend, has died. He was 45.
Kingston died in Gloucestershire on Sunday, with emergency services called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. The cause of death is still undetermined.
While an inquest will be done to find the cause, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
Gabriella, 42, is the daughter of the Prince Michael of Kent, the late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin.
“It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother,” a statement said on behalf of Gabriella, his parents, Martin and Jill Kingston, and his sisters, Joanna Connolly and Emma Murray.
“Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him,” the statement went on. “His death has come as a great shock to the whole family and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”
King Charles III and Queen Camilla were informed of Kingston’s death, with Buckingham Palace noting that the monarchs “join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family.”
“In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family,” the palace said.
The financier and the editor tied the knot in 2019 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The couple had no children.
The queen and Prince Philip attended the special day.
The socialite is the second cousin to Charles, 75, and was present at his coronation last May.
In 2011, Kingston and Kate Middleton’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, dated for a period.
Pippa, 40, is now married to James Matthews, and she stayed pals with Kingston.
When Pippa got married in 2017 to the hedge fund manager, 48, Kingston attended the celebration.
Matthews and the mother of three were guests at Gabriella and Kingston’s own wedding.
Gabriella is currently 56th in the line of succession to the British throne and had often been seen at royal family events over the years with her spouse.
The London Magazine contributor and the equity analyst were present at the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, her funeral that same year and the Royal Ascot this past June.
Kingston studied economic history at the University of Bristol and then worked as a hostage negotiator in Baghdad.
