‘Price Is Right’ player hurts his shoulder celebrating his win
A contestant on “The Price Is Right” managed to score a prize — and dislocate his shoulder at the same time.
In an episode on Thursday, a player named Henry was so elated he won the game of Bonkers that he hurt his shoulder while jumping up and down to celebrate.
Host Drew Carey then had to explain to the audience why Henry wasn’t able to spin the wheel after the injury.
Luckily for Henry, his wife Alice was able to take his place and give the gigantic wheel a whirl.
Alice’s touch was golden as she landed a 95, which sent her husband to the Showcase Showdown.
Henry ended up winning a trip to Hawaii.
A clip of the incident, which was posted to the show’s Instagram account, showed the eager man — with his arm limply hanging by his side — slowly walking up to the the wheel with his wife.
“He won a trip to Hawaii and the ER #PriceIsRight,” the caption read, which noted that the episode was filmed in February and Henry is “feeling better and all healed now.”
Fans loved his celebratory moves — even if it did mean a trip to the hospital.
“Omg!! Now that’s a celebration! Glad you’re doing good Henry!” one wrote on the clip.
“That was crazy to watch,” another said in amazement. “He had to be in pain, but he kept on going!! So glad he gets a trip!”
Other noted other injuries on the show.
“I remember back in 1998 when a contestant named Scott hurt his knee while playing the Dice Game!” a fan recalled.
