Prince Harry cut off Dominic West after champagne prosthetic leg reveal

Dominic West is detailing his quarrel with Prince Harry — and revealed why the royal left him on read after their chaotic 2013 trip to Antartica.

“The Crown” alum, 54, recalled during Sunday’s appearance on Times Radio how he once “said too much in a press conference” following their expedition.

West and the Duke of Sussex, 39, were part of the charity event Walking With the Wounded a decade prior where they helped build latrines.

“I think I was asked what we did … [and] what we did to celebrate when we got there and probably said something too much,” West said about Harry ghosting him.

After the trip’s “welcome home” conference, the two never spoke again.

At the press event at the time, the actor said: “[Harry] told some eye-wateringly rude jokes, which for a non-soldier like me was pretty shocking.”

He also claimed that Harry chugged champagne out of a prosthetic leg, which belonged to Duncan Slater, a double amputee who was injured in Afghanistan in 2009.

“Most of us, Harry included, just went on a two-day bender with the Icelandic truck drivers who had brought some lethal home brew with them,” he mused.

According to a Daily Mail source, Harry reportedly “threw a s – – t fit” over West’s candid quotes. “He accused Dominic of invading his privacy” and “Dominic told him not to be ridiculous,” the insider said.

West and Harry were on much better terms before the “Wire” actor was cut off.

“Harry was a real team player. There was always something to do and he was always instigating it. There were so many wind-ups. He probably spread himself quite thin. He would spend time with each team every day,” West said at the expedition press conference.

“He was always making sure he mixed, bringing everyone to the fore. It was very nice as he was as tired as everybody else.”

The British actor went on to note that the Invictus Games founder “massively helped me out when I was struggling with my skis at first” and that he was “a great guy.”

Harry, meanwhile, kept it straightforward about the voyage at the press conference.

“Inspiring others is one of the cornerstones of this charity,” Harry said at the time. “This truly unbelievable achievement by everyone behind me … will remind everybody that they can achieve anything they want to.”

West recently starred on the Netflix royal drama “The Crown” for Seasons 5 and 6, where he played Harry’s estranged father, King Charles III.

“The Affair” actor confessed to Variety on Dec. 16 that he picked up a copy of Harry’s memoir “Spare” to help prepare to film the final season.

“I bought it immediately, and I think it did slightly affect the way we played that key scene where he wakes Harry up,” West admitted. “I’ve been reading every newspaper article or journalistic article on him since I got the job.”

“In a way, this was a gift that he was in the headlines every day when he was becoming king — like getting irritated by the fountain pen,” he added. “In the cold, formal exterior of this guy, I tried to get those little tells.”
