Prince William ‘simmering’ over Kate Middleton health rumors
The crown is cracking.
Prince William is reportedly deeply upset about speculation over Kate Middleton’s health.
“William is a very different breed of cat [from that of his father],” Christopher Andersen, acclaimed author of “The King: The Life of Charles III,” told Fox News. “William broods. He simmers. Then, like his father [King Charles], he blows.”
“He’s trying to protect his wife’s privacy. He’s always had a grudge against the media, and he is even less likely than his father to feel the need to explain anything,” Andersen, 74, continued. “William still blames the press for [his mother, Princess Diana’s] death, and for all his outward charm and natural flair for diplomacy, he continues to view reporters as little more than jackals.
“He has no interest in feeding them unless he has to, especially when the issue is Kate’s health,” he added, noting the future king, 41, is “simmering” with anger.
“William is under so much strain, and he is livid about what is being written and said about his ailing wife,” Andersen said. “In the midst of all this, William is overwhelmed with having to shoulder such a heavy load while his father battles cancer, and that means little time for self-indulgent tantrums of the sort that the king was famous for. Still, William is bound to crack. It’s only a matter of time. Heads will roll — of that I am certain.”
The frenzy surrounding the Princess of Wales, 42, began in January when Kensington Palace announced that Middleton would be undergoing an unspecified planned abdominal surgery.
Shortly after the “successful” operation, the princess’ office released a statement that Middleton would be recuperating at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
Kensington Palace also said that “based on the current medical advice,” it was unlikely the future queen would “return to public duties until after Easter.”
However, things began to devolve for the Prince and Princess of Wales when no one had heard an update from either William or Middleton.
In February, Kensington Palace told The Post that they had “made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.”
The statement also noted that the princess was “doing well.”
Middleton was later snapped — albeit from a great and grainy distance — sitting in the car with her mom, Carole, 69.
Since the photos were published, several online conspiracy theories have emerged. Things further derailed for Middleton when she posted a Photoshopped picture of herself surrounded by her kids on Instagram for UK’s Mother’s Day.
The photo, which features Middleton alongside Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, was later pulled by news organizations after claiming the photo was extensively “manipulated.”
Middleton, who was said to be devastated over the news, posted an apology on X (formerly Twitter).
“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” she wrote.
Since the incident, many organizations have demanded that Kensington Palace release the unaltered photo of the princess and her children — a request that has since been denied.
Phil Chetwynd, global news director of France’s AFP news agency, later stated that Kensington Palace can no longer be called a “trusted source” of information.
On Monday, the princess — looking “happy, healthy and relaxed” — was officially seen along with her husband during a visit to a local farm store near Windsor Castle.
In a video obtained by The Sun, Middleton was spotted donning athleisure and standing next to her grinning husband.
Sources told the outlet that the couple stopped by the stand after watching their children play sports.
On Tuesday, an insider told The Post that the latest sighting “should hopefully be enough to put an end to the outside noise about her recovery.”
The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.
