Prince William visits wife Kate Middleton at London Clinic after abdominal surgery

Prince William has been spotted leaving the hospital where his wife, Kate Middleton, is continuing to recover following her planned abdominal surgery.

News of the Princess of Wales’s medical procedure came to light Wednesday in an official statement from Kensington Palace.

While the surgery was “successful,” she will remain at The London Clinic for 10 to 14 days before “returning home to continue her recovery.”

William, 41, was seen behind the wheel of an Audi e-tron GT RS Carbon Vorsprung as he left the hospital, with royal bodyguards following closely in a Range Rover.

Sources told The Post Wednesday that the heir to the throne is clearing his schedule to support his wife during her recovery, as well as take care of their three children.

William left the hospital just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday after spending the morning with the Princess of Wales, 42.

William then headed back to Windsor following his brief London visit.

Middleton is “unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” the palace said this week, and the Waleses’ overseas trip that was slated to take place in the next few weeks has been postponed to a later date.

While the nature of Middleton’s condition has not been revealed at this time, the palace confirmed that the health issue is not cancerous.

Less than an hour after news of Middleton’s surgery came to light Wednesday, Buckingham Palace revealed that King Charles will undergo a “corrective procedure” for an enlarged prostate next week.

The monarch’s former royal butler, Grant Harrold, exclusively told The Post Wednesday that William is no doubt feeling “anxious” that both his wife and father are sitting out of royal engagements amid their respective medical procedures.

“It’s quite unusual to have two royals out of action, and it’s going to put more pressure on William,” Harrold, who worked for Charles for seven years when he was the Prince of Wales, told us.

“I’m sure he’s feeling anxious, as you would be. However, William does cope well under stress, as I’ve seen on many occasions.”

Elsewhere, Harrold said that Middleton’s abdominal surgery recovery is set to have a “huge impact” on the royal family behind closed doors.
