The men’s road race at the UCI World Championships was brought to a halt by protesters on Sunday. The race was temporarily neutralised with 192km to go on the 271.1km course from Edinburgh to Glasgow, where cycling stars like Tadej Pogacar, Wout van Aert and Remco Evenepoel are bidding for glory. There was little information available about the nature of the protest when stewards halted the race.
