PROBABLE CAUSE STATEMENT FORM
I, Detective Dennis Paquette, a sworn Law Enforcement Officer for the State of Missouri, Report Number: KC23-022845 knowing that false statements on this form are punishable by law, and that the facts contained herein are true,
states as follows:

1. I have probable cause to believe that on 4/13/2023, at 1100 NE 115th St in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, Andrew D Lester, White (race), Male, 10/21/1938 (DOB), committed
one or more criminal offense(s).
Aggravated Assault
2. The facts supporting this belief are as follows:
On April 13, 2023 at approximately 2152 hours Kansas City Missouri Police Department Officers were dispatched to 1100 NE 115th St., Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri on a shooting. Upon arrival officers located a male victim later identified as PY in the street in front of 1106 NE 115th St., Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri who had been shot. Medical,
personnel were at the scene and advised Officers PY was suffering serious injuries and was in stable condition.
Officers were contacted by a party who called 911 and stated they believed the person who shot was at 1100 NE 115th St., Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri. Officers approached the address and observed the front, storm door glass shattered with a man standing inside the residence. Officers gave the male later identified as Andrew D. LESTER verbal commands to exit the residence and he complied and exited the rear of the residence.
LESTER provided a written consent to search his residence to Officer Dunaway and was transported to Kansas City Missouri Police Department Headquarters located at 1125 Locust, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri where he provided a statement.
On April 13, 2023 at approximately 2245 hours Detective Green and I responded to 1100 NE 115th St., Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival I contacted Officer Dunaway at the scene who provided me a Consent to Search form signed by LESTER to search 1100 NE 115th St., Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, his
residence.
I observed the front storm door glass broken with blood on the front porch. I observed blood on the driveway. I observed cameras on the south, and eastside of the residence. I also Observed blood in the street in
front of 1007 NE 115th St., Clay County, Missouri.
A witness was interviewed who stated on April 13, 2023 at approximately 2150 hours they heard an unknown vehicle pull into the driveway of 1100 NE 115th St. The witness thought it was odd for their elderly neighbor to have a visitor this late at night. The witness stated a short time later they heard two to three gunshots from 1100 NE 115th St. The
