“Los Blancos hope to wrap up their move for the 19-year-old England midfielder this week following the end of the Bundesliga season. He has been offered a six-year deal, with Real agreeing to pay the German side between £1.75m and £3.5m a season in extras over the course of the contract.

“Those sums will depend on the Spanish side’s league and cup performances in each campaign, and the number of games Bellingham plays and the goals he scores.

“Spanish sources suggest he will start his career in Madrid on a weekly wage that falls well short of their highest-paid players but that increases in 2025 and 2026 will put him well amongst them.”

Brighton look for bargain goalkeeper

The Mail believes that Brighton are already looking to replace Robert Sanchez, who could leave in the summer.

They have identified 21-year-old Brian Schwake at Livingston, who is out of contract in the summer and would cost a small fee.

“Brighton are in talks to sign Livingston’s American goalkeeper Brian Schwake,” the paper states.

“The 21-year old, who has spent the past season on loan at Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton, has been in at Brighton this week training so that the Premier league side’s coaching staff could take a closer look at what he can do.

“Schwake, though born in Mount Prosoect, Illinois, qualifies for a European passport owing to his family hailing from Luxembourg

“Brighton want him in as cover for Jason Steele while they are aware that Robert Sanchez is weighing up a potential move away after being ousted as number one.

“Schwake would cost a minimal fee of around £250,000 as a cross-border compensation deal for a young player out of contract.”

Zaha set for huge Qatari payday

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs this summer, but either way he is set for a bumper increase in his salary.

“WILFRIED ZAHA is wanted by Qatari side Al Sadd — and will be offered about £10million a year to sign,” The Sun begins.

“The super-rich outfit are prepared to throw fortunes at free-agent Zaha, who has yet to agree terms at Crystal Palace as he considers his options.

“He was in Dubai on a break last week after his season was ended by injury, a hamstring tear that may take a couple of months to recover from.

“The Ivory Coast international, 30, is still hoping for a bigger club to come in from England or Europe.”

Asensio set for Real departure

Spanish newspaper Marca believes that Marco Asensio’s time at Real Madrid is coming to an end.

The paper claims: “At present, Marco Asensio is more out than in at Real Madrid.

“After a meeting that took place today with Jose Angel Sanchez, Real Madrid’s general manager, the player’s renewal is moving away and within a week or so there could be a definitive decision.

“A decision that as of today points to the player’s departure.

“That the future of Asensio was far from Madrid was already intuited after the news advanced by MARCA on May 10, in which it was reported that the Madrid player is one of the reinforcements that Unai Emery manages for Aston Villa.

“Apart from the English side, there are many other teams that have knocked on the door of Asensio since last summer, when he was already close to leaving Real Madrid.”
