Remco Evenepoel: Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl rider to begin 2023 season at Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina
Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl rider Remco Evenepoel will begin his 2023 cycling season at the Vuelta a San Juan in Argentina.
He has been backed for more success in 2023, and he will start his year at the scene of one of his previous race wins, having triumphed at San Juan back in 2020.

“I’m happy to race again in San Juan,” Evenepoel said.
“It was my first race as a pro in 2019, I have a lot of great memories from my previous outings in Argentina, and I’m delighted to start my year in the rainbow jersey there.
“I hope to see many of those amazing fans on the road and I can’t wait to debut my Soudal-QuickStep world champion jersey in a couple of weeks.”
Many cycling fans are already looking ahead to a potential, titanic three-way tussle at the Tour de France between Evenepoel, Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) and current yellow jersey incumbent Jonas Vingegaard (Team Jumbo-Visma), where all are expected to appear.

Evenepoel will be joined in San Juan by a number of other high-profile riders, including Sam Bennett (Bora-Hansgrohe), world hour record holder Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), and Peter Sagan (TotalEnergies).
The Vuelta a San Juan will run from January 22-29.
