Rick Harrison’s son Adam’s death won’t affect ‘Pawn Stars’ season

Plans for the new season of “Pawn Stars” are full steam ahead and won’t be impacted by the tragic death of Adam Harrison, the son of series star Rick Harrison.

“Filming begins in February (previously scheduled and moving forward) on new episodes and Adam’s death will in no way impact Rick’s involvement with the show,” Harrison’s rep, Laura Herlovich, exclusively told The Post on Tuesday.

“Adam never appeared on the show and even as the family are grieving his loss, I don’t anticipate it will impact next season,” she said.

A spokeswoman for the History Channel echoed Herlovich’s comments about the upcoming season of “Pawn Stars.”

“We have new episodes of ‘Pawn Stars Do America’ beginning to air on Wednesday, Feb. 21,” she said. “We wrapped filming on the episodes last year — so no changes.”

Adam died from a fentanyl overdose in Las Vegas at age 39. His family was notified on Jan. 19.

“Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss,” the Harrison family told TMZ in a statement at the time.

Rick wrote a heartfelt tribute to Adam on Instagram that same day.

“You will always be in my heart!” he wrote beneath a photo of the pair at a bar. “I love you Adam.”

Adam’s brother, Corey, also wrote a tribute on Instagram after his brothers’ death along with a baby photo of them in a bathtub.

“Wax wtf I will always love you bubba,” he wrote.

Corey and Adam are Rick’s sons with his first wife, Kim.

He has a third son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy.

Adam’s cause of death was officially confirmed on Jan. 22. “Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick, 58, told The Post.

Rick also blasted the government for not doing enough about the country’s opioid crisis.

“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” he went on.

“It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”

“Pawn Stars” revolves around the family’s Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, and also stars Austin “Chumlee” Russell.

In June 2018, the patriarch of the reality show Richard Benjamin Harrison, also known as “the Old Man,” died at age 77 from Parkinson’s disease.

The show, which premiered in 2009 and has aired more than 600 episodes, returns to the History Channel on Feb. 21.
